Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport (TOL) is owned by the City of Toledo and has been operated by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority (TLCPA) since 1973. TOL supports nearly 3,000 jobs and has an annual economic impact of over $581.5M in our community. The TLCPA, as airport manager, will also be the organization leasing the property and assisting the client in the development and successful launch of the project. The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority is pleased to offer up to 69 acres of property on the south side of the airfield immediately adjacent to the main runway for this project. The site has ample room to accommodate facilities in excess of 600,000 s.f. with direct access to the main 10,600’ runway, cargo apron, 500,000-gallon fuel farm, and adjoining taxiways serving the airport. Detailed information regarding the runway and airport airspace environment is available in the submitted materials found in the "Document" drop-down. TOL is a diversified airport offering commercial passenger service, military operations (home of the 180 Th Fighter Wing), general aviation, manufacturing, aeronautical training, cargo operations, customs clearance, and maintenance and repair operations. All these activities are supported by a strong, dedicated, and talented regional workforce. TOL is a base location for producing certified airframe and powerplant aircraft technicians through the Toledo Public Schools Aerospace and Natural Sciences Academy and through the Federal Aerospace Institute. Your development project will be supported by the Lucas County Department of Planning and Development (LCDPD) who will develop a regional workforce development strategy and will coordinate these efforts with the employer and other regional workforce and economic development partners to successfully meet the desired outcomes of the project. LCDPD support letter may be viewed in the "Documents" drop-down. There are other substantial advantages to locating your project at TOL. The proposed site is within a Community Reinvestment Area in Lucas County providing a 100% exemption of the improved real property tax valuation for 15 years, depending on the project. The proposed location also falls within a Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) that offers a grant program where a portion of the income tax collected is awarded to the company and a portion of the tax is reinvested in airport infrastructure. The TLCPA can offer capital lease and fixed-rate financing programs that can be coupled with grants and other incentive programs from our economic development partners. The location, operating environment, and wide-ranging support you will receive for this project at TOL will be unsurpassed making this the premier site for your project.
