Whirlpool is putting a $60 million plant in Perrysburg

The company’s 11th U.S. factory and its sixth in Ohio, on the old solar site off Route 25.

Whirlpool announced a new production facility in Perrysburg, its eleventh factory in the United States and sixth in Ohio. The roughly $60 million project brings automation and advanced manufacturing equipment to build components and subassemblies for washers and dryers, with 100 to 150 jobs expected once it runs. It reuses the former Willard and Kelsey solar site on State Route 25.
